Jarvinator Saves Planet Earth
The huge metal doors in the cavern wall slowly opened and there stood the most incredible robot ever invented. He was 20 metres tall, made of shining panels of a metal alloy that could not be damaged: waterproof, explosion-proof and insect-proof.
Inside the robot’s head was a highly advanced computer that could solve problems faster than the human mind.
“Jarvinator,” Dr Marsh instructed, “the world is facing a catastrophe, and we’re the only ones who can help. I’m entering all the data about the world-wide tsunamis into your computer. You must calculate what needs to be done to save the maximum number of people possible.”
The Jarvinator slowly nodded his large metallic head. “Very well, Dr Marsh.”
In just a few minutes, the data had entered the robot’s highly advanced computer brain. The Jarvinator processed all the information and worked out the best possible solutions.
“Everything is calculated, Dr Marsh,” said the Jarvinator.
“Excellent,” replied Dr Marsh. “I’ll monitor your progress from here. Now go and save Planet Earth.”
Dr Marsh released the green handle in the rocky floor, and the hidden door in the roof of the cavern opened wide.
The Jarvinator rose steadily up through the air on his jet-propelled feet and flew out the top of the mountain at high speed.
Streaking through the atmosphere above Earth at the speed of light, the Jarvinator was approaching his first task.
“The islands of South-East Asia lie very low in the ocean and they are in the most danger. They would be completely destroyed by the tsunami. I must start with the Indian Ocean.”
