Jarvinator Saves Planet Earth

In the deepest darkest cavern at the centre of Australia lies a secret that few people know. Hidden far below the ground is the laboratory of Dr Ken Marsh, a mad scientist who spent 25 years building the most advanced robot the world had ever seen. The robot could be activated by a signal for help whenever Planet Earth was in trouble.

One day, the signal he had been waiting for sounded. Just as the sun was rising over the huge rock that hid the entrance to the cavern, the emergency device was activated.

“Woop! Woop! Woop!”

He picked up the phone and an anxious voice came through the speaker.

“Dr Marsh, this is the President of the United States of America. The Earth is facing a catastrophe. There have been major earthquakes underneath the Pacific, Atlantic and Indian Oceans that have caused enormous tsunamis. Towering walls of water are heading towards several majorcities. In less than an hour, millions of people could lose their lives. Can you help us, Dr Marsh?”

“Of course, Mr President,” said Dr Marsh. “I’ve built my robot for just such an emergency. Leave it to me.”

“And please keep in mind,” added the President, “that my family and I live in North America, so I’d appreciate it if you would save us first.”

“I understand what you’re saying,” said Dr Marsh.
