Star Princess Indi

When she awoke, the sun was almost overhead. She had slept the whole morning.

“Well,” she said out loud. “I’d better get started if I’m going to find my friend.”

“Find your friend?” came a little voice. “Is he lost?”

Indi looked around and saw a handsome blue butterfly resting ona leaf nearby.

“Oh, yes,” she said. “My friend fell out of the sky last night into this park. I’m going to find him and take him back home.”

“And what does your friend look like?” asked the butterfly.

“He’s really shiny, and pointy, and cute,” said Indi.

“Hmmm. That’s not much to go by. What colour hair has he got?”

“Silver.”

“Really? What colour eyes?”

“Silver.”

“And his clothes?”

“Well, actually…..”

“Let me guess: silver? We shouldn’t have too much trouble finding him then. How about I help you look?”

“Why thank you,” smiled the Star Princess. “My name’s Indi.”

“And I’m Flutter. Pleased to meet you.”

So they looked around the swings and the birdbath, under the picnic tables and eveninside the restrooms. They found an old sock and half a biscuit, but there was no sign of Glimmer at all.

The sun was settling low over the trees, and Indi sat down on a bench with a sigh. “Where could he be?”
