Star Princess Indi

Every corner was crammed withtrinkets and charms,flowers and sea shells, books and pictures. The beautiful crystal candle holder that hung from the ceiling threw little shimmering lights on everything around it.

Seated in a big red velvet armchair was a very old woman with curly grey hair and twinkling eyes.

“What brings you here?” she asked.

“Please, Wise One,” said Flutter. “Indi here has lost her friend, and needs your help.”

The Wise One looked deep into Indi’s eyes. “Tell me about your friend,” she asked.

“Well,” said Indi shyly, “he’s a star named Glimmer, and he fell from the sky last night into the park. We’ve looked everywhere, but we can’t find him.”

“And you’re worried about your friend?” asked the old woman.

“Oh yes,” replied Indi. “He must be very frightened, and I want to take him home.”

The Wise One nodded. “I think I can help,” she said.

She went to the back of the cave and opened a gleaming treasure chest. From it she took a pink gemstone heart and placed it in Indi’s hand.

“If you care about your friend, then you must stop looking with your eyes, and start looking with your heart.”

Indi was puzzled. “How can I look with my heart?” she asked.

“The sun has set,” the Wise One replied. “Fly up above the park, hold this gemstone heart close to yours and think of your friend with love. Trust and you will find him.”

Indi and Flutter thanked the old woman, and flew out from behind the waterfall, up the cliff face and back into the park.

“Oh Flutter,” said Indi. “I really hope this works.”

“You have to trust that it will,” Flutter replied. “They don’t call her the Wise One for nothing.”

So Indi took a giant leap and flew high into the darkness above the park. She held the gemstone heart close to hers, and wished with all her might that she would find Glimmer. But when she opened her eyes and looked down at the park, there was no sign.

Holding the heart tightly against her own, Indi began to fly around over the treetops, and as she flew she whispered:
