Oscar and Grandpa’s Motorboat
They drove to the bay and the little blue boat was waiting for them at the wharf.
Oscar helped Grandpa carry their lunch, and Grandpa helped Oscar put on his life vest.
Grandpa swung Oscar up into the boat and turned on the motor. He pushed them off from the wharfand threw Oscar the rope. They were on their way!
“Chugga, chugga!” went the boat.
Grandpa steered them smoothly around the other boats bobbing on the water.
“Let’s see how many interesting things you can spoton our adventure,” said Grandpa.
Oscar spied jellyfish drifting past the boat, andbrown ducks swimming by looking for food.He liked the rocking sensation, and the sound of the waves as they hit the side of the boat.
“Splish, splash!” went the waves.
